Who will be at the Best Years Expo?

 

DonMcLean.png Don McLean has been entertaining audiences since 1971 and we are very excited to have him perform at the Third Annual Best Years Expo. The singer/songwriter is best known for his musical history lesson “American Pie,” which chronicles how music changed from the 1950’s through the 1970’s. The song was ranked 5th in the Recording Industry Association of America’s list of Songs of the Century. He has released more than 20 albums some of which have gone gold and platinum. He also wrote songs that were performed by George Michael, Perry Como, Elvis Presley, Shirley Bassey, and Glen Campbell. “American Pie” became a part of The Grammys Hall of Fame in 2002 and in 2017 the Library of Congress designated it an “aural treasure”. Don Mclean was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2004.


 

Barry Williams is currently the spokesperson for MeTV, home of THE BRADY BUNCH. He has had an extensive career, starring in 100s of productions in television, movies, and Broadway. He made appearances in several Television shows including DRAGNET, ADAM-12, IT TAKES A THIEF, THE INVADERS, THAT GIRL, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, THE MOD SQUAD AND HERE COME THE BRIDES before landing his role as Greg Brady on THE BRADY BUNCH, in which he won the Young Artist Foundation Former Child Star “Lifetime Achievement Award” in 1989.

He became involved in musical theater, starring on Broadway in PIPPIN and ROMANCE/ROMANCE. He has toured extensively throughout the country in National Tours of OKLAHOMA!, MUSIC MAN, SOUND OF MUSIC, CITY OF ANGELS, GREASE, WEST SIDE STORY and over 85 different musical productions.

Barry wrote his autobiography, GROWING UP BRADY: I WAS A TEENAGE GREG which stayed on the New York Times bestseller list for several months. Williams then Executive Produced the book into a NBC TV movie.

Williams also wrote, co-produced and starred in 3 USO Christmas Shows, touring the world and bringing entertainment to our troops.

Maureen Delaney, 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher and yoga 4 cancer certified instructor found yoga after cancer found her.  Once she established her own practice, reducing stress and getting healthier, she began sharing yoga with more people through community classes, outdoor yoga sessions and community outreach into the older adult, cancer-survivor and teen populations.  Maureen’s classes are fun and accessible and will leave you feeling healthier, stronger and energized!   Maura Delaney.png

Longtime Cambridge residents Marilynn and Sheila Brass have 130 years of combined baking and cooking experience.  

 They presently Host and Co-Executive produce their television series, THE FOOD FLIRTS, for PBS.  The series features the sisters engaging with chefs, restaurateurs, and food purveyors, to explore the diversity of cuisines and cultures in Cambridge and Boston.

They are the authors of Baking With The Brass Sisters (St. Martin’s Press 2015), Heirloom Cooking With The Brass Sisters, (Black Dog & Leventhal, 2008) and Heirloom Baking With The Brass Sisters (Black Dog & Leventhal, 2006), which was one of three finalists for the James Beard Foundation award in the Dessert and Baking category.

Calling the sisters "Dessert Geniuses," Food &Wine Magazine selected both of their books for its annual volumes, The Best of the Best 25 Cookbooks, People Magazine chose Heirloom Baking for their Holiday Gift Guide.

 

George Lyons regularly entertains at many local establishments and he is well known for his Frank Sinatra Tribute program which he sings in his own inimitable style with charm and sophistication.

Vince Jornales is a certified instructor of Bagua Zhang, Filipino Martial Arts, and Tai Chi Chuan. He has been a student of martial arts for over 20 years. He has over 10 years of experience owning and operating the Easton Martial Arts Center, now the East Coast Jornales System at Bishop's Training & Fitness in West Bridgewater. He teaches Tai Chi classes at the Easton YMCA and at the Councils on Aging in Easton, Canton, Stoughton, Rockland, Milton, and Quincy. He teaches Tai Chi in chairs at the Height's Crossing Memory Facility in Brockton and the Life Care Center in Raynham. He teaches Martial Arts to adults with disabilities at the JF&CS in Canton. 

 

Cass School of Floral Design was established over 35 years ago and has taught thousands of people the wonderful art of floral design. The Cass School of Floral Design offers a wide range of floral education including workshops on dozens of topics for students who want to learn flower arranging for their own enjoyment, private flower arranging classes for businesses and social organizations and comprehensive floral career training.    CassSchoolofFloralDesign_logo_lg.jpg 

 

The Reminisants.png Since 1973, The Reminisants have been performing for audiences across New England, entertaining young and old alike with their diverse catalog of music. On any given night you can hear them play hit songs from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. The have performed with The Beach Boys, Chubby Checker, Three Dog Night, Gretchen Wilson, Grand Funk Railroad, and many, many more. We’re thrilled to have them perform this year at the Best Years Expo. 
 

 

By the age of 23, John Logan hosted his own show on Patriots.com, published two books, was on America’s Got Talent, and consulted a national Toyota commercial. Featured on Forbes, NBC, ESPN, the NFL Network, and the Associated Press, John currently travels and presents keynotes on creativity & intrinsic motivation for leadership conferences based off his five years of research travels throughout the United States.


In addition for his innovative stage and close up magic, you may recognize John’s name from the news where he captured national headlines when Quarterback Tom Brady talked about him during his press conference. In the beginning of the 2017 season, the New England Patriots hired John to perform magic for the players and used that phrase that "Impossible is Just a Word." At the end of the 2017 season, the New England Patriots pulled off the greatest comeback of all time during Super Bowl 51. We'll let you decide if John had anything to do with that.

Jillian Zucco.png  Jillian is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a BS in Nursing, now working as a telemetry nurse. She volunteers over 750 hours annually, organizing blood drives, food drives, and charitable fundraisers. She co-directs a community-service singing troupe of thirty kids who dedicate over 200 hours performing each year. Jillian created the “Miss Inspirational” program, providing girls and young women with special needs an opportunity to publicly share their talents and abilities. She has raised over $25,000 for CMN Hospitals! Jillian’s goal is to spread the spirit of volunteerism through her platform, “Choose a Cause, Make a Difference.”
